The Power of Alone Time
"The Power of Alone Time" – Editorial Illustration
This self-directed illustration was created in response to the article "The Power of Alone Time" by Headspace. The article explores the neurobiological reasons why introverts need solitude, particularly their heightened sensitivity to dopamine and how overstimulation can quickly become overwhelming. It highlights how intentional alone time isn’t about isolation, but about restoration — a necessary reset that allows introverts to recharge, reflect, and find clarity away from the noise of everyday life.
Through this piece, I wanted to visually reflect the calm, introspective space that solitude can offer — a kind of quiet sanctuary within a world that often moves too fast and demands too much.
